Miniature Display Bases

I am still fairly new to the miniature hobby. Besides painting my armies for Warhammer 40 & Age of Sigmar, I am active in honing my skills in display painting.

My wife's grandfather, Roland, has seen my interest in painting models and has offered to help me create wooden bases to sell and use in my hobby.

Very thankful Roland has a nearby workshop. He has accumulated over the last 30 some years! His workshop is something I hope to have one day, where everything has it's place and organization. 

We're using a variety of wood that we had on our farm property, but some of the finer scrap pieces Roland had around the shop. They all have their own uniqueness and full of possibilities to a new mini painter. Some of these I will keep longer for bigger display setups. 

Overall I had a great time getting to finally work with Roland. Incredibly thankful that he took the time to indulge in my hobbies and assist in my work. I never really had the chance to know my grandparents personally, so this was very cathartic.
